Haringey traffic [LTN]
Details of the Haringey plans for the LTN around Bowes Park and Bounds Green can be found here.
They have now also launched an interactive map where you can leave comments about a specific location. The deadline for comments is 7 March 2021.
The role of the Bowes Park Community Association (BPCA) is to represent all the residents of Bowes Park and to help improve our neighbourhood.
The LTN, lack of LTN, or impact of traffic on other areas because of the LTN is dividing our neighbourhood – literally and figuratively. There is no consensus amongst the residents of Bowes Park about the best way forward, so it is impossible for the BPCA to support or object to a particular plan. The Committee came to the clear view that taking a position would not aid in bringing our community together; it would create further divisions. Therefore, the BPCA will continue to focus on sharing information and promoting a well-informed constituency.
To achieve this, the BPCA will continue to:
Liaise with Haringey Council
Provide information to residents via email, our website, in personal responses to phone calls or emails sent to info@bowespark.org.uk
Share information amongst residents of Bowes Park and encourage engagement so everyone is well-informed and can find a group of like-minded individuals in the area. The current list of action groups is below – if there are any more that you know of, please email info@bowespark.org.uk
Fund activities that promote public engagements, will better inform the residents and feedback to Haringey Council
With passionate views from both sides on the proposals there are number of groups (some old, some new) representing all positions. In an effort to make sure everyone is connected to like-minded people to express their opinions please find below an alphabetical list of the groups :
