Bowes Park Community Choir Blasts Off
On the night of the 10th March I counted up 10 people I was pretty sure
would turn up for our open evening. Less than that would mean there was
no call for a Community Choir. We had five by 7.0 o’clock and by half
past seven 50 voices were echoing our Choirmaster Sarah Jewell in the
large Hall of St Michaels Church. What fun we had. We sang tentatively
at first but then were producing some really big sounds. At tea break
people expressed their delight that a Choir was starting up and eagerly
filled in the Questionnaires which tell us they will return for more
next week.
If you wish to join in, or merely are curious and want to watch, please
just come along to St Michael’s Church Hall on Bounds Green Road at 7
o’clock on Thursday evening. The first session is free for everyone so
you can get a feeling if this is the sort of thing you would enjoy. Go
to our website by
clicking here. Leave me a message then I will look out for you on
arrival. - Kate Franzmann
