About the area

Bowes Park is situated in north London, nestled between Muswell Hill, Palmers Green and Wood Green. Part of the region is a Conservation Area, due to the quality of the buildings.

The area contains a variety of mid 19th century or early Victorian semi-detached villas as well as small and large terraced houses. The Mid-Victorian houses were built for wealthy Londoners who had their own means of transport. After the introduction of the railways, the housing was smaller and area development was more rapid.

Bowes Park has an urban village feel, with strong community spirit. Its centre is Myddleton Road, with a number of shops that retain their original Victorian and Edwardian shop fronts.

We are near the 'Green Belt' and Alexandra & Dursford Parks, and a community garden has recently opened in Myddleton Road.

The New River runs through the area, which provides an attractive green space.

There are excellent train, underground, bus and road links in the area.
