Why BPCA was started

The Bowes Park Association was started in September 1999 when two next-door neighbours found that their conversations were always turning to the same depressing topic - the decline of the local area. The group developed and grew very quickly from there with a peak of 350 members, which we hope you will help us get to again and exceed!

The achievements in the early years cannot be underestimated as this was an area with many issues and it had been neglected by both councils.

We are now in a period where there is a real focus on community activities and you couldn’t join us at a better time, there been some major milestones recently including the opening of 128 Myddleton Road as a base for the BPCA and as a community centre. Please explore the site to find out more!
