At the BPCA one of our goals is to celebrate and promote the useful and interesting things in this area, below are just a handful of the reasons why we think it is great to live here!
Bowes Park rail station – a pretty little station that offers reliable and fast connections to the city and Kings Cross.
Bounds Green tube – just around the corner from the station is the tube. What more could you want than a tube and a train station so close by.
Myddleton Road – while there is work to be done here let’s not forget there are some great little businesses that are convenient and great value on your doorstop, Vrisaki Restaurant (known and loved throughout London and beyond) Red Sea and Ayta supermarkets, the dry cleaners, the car accessories shop, the plumbers merchants and the list goes on....support these shops please.
The green spaces – We have the community garden in Myddleton Road, across the road is the wonderful New River and round the corner there is Finsbury Gardens. If you want to really stretch your legs then a few minutes walk away is Alexandra Palace and Park.
The A406 – Despite it’s issues and for Bowes Park there are many this road is fantastic (when it is clear!) for getting out of town and to other sides of London or the country!
Green Lanes – bordering Bowes Park this stretch to A406 has some great shops, our favourites are the bread shop, the Sirwan grocers and the Green Lanes Fishmongers, one of the best in London.
